Who will you be working with?

Wabtec Digital Mine is setting a new global industry benchmark through the delivery of innovative and reliable technology solutions to the mining industry. We help miners improve efficiency and productivity while enabling safer mining practices, through a combination of advanced software, models, analytics and solutions such as Collision Avoidance System (CAS), Underground MWD & comms, Software and Analytics.

Reporting to the Global Operations Direction and dotted line to Senior Engineering Director, as a key member of the Digital Mine team, the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is a cross‑functional reliability specialist who integrates engineering, operations, data, and organisational context to ensure that systems, products, and processes perform consistently and safely across their entire lifecycle. Unlike traditional reliability roles that focus on isolated assets or performance metrics, the IE takes a system‑wide, end‑to‑end view—considering technology, people, processes, and data as interconnected components of reliability. The IE acts as a strategic partner across engineering, operations, product, quality, and lifecycle management teams, enabling organisations to move from reactive maintenance to predictive, preventative, and proactive reliability culture.
