Who will you be working with?

Frauscher Sensor Technology (a Wabtec company) is the leading supplier of axle counter and train detection systems with 500+ employees Globally in over 15 different locations. It’s Australian office, based in Port Melbourne CBD, acts as the primary supply and support facility for the Australian and New Zealand territories.


How will you make a difference? 

The Customer Fulfilment role is a diverse position combining customer service, order processing, commercial administration and general office coordination within a small and collaborative team. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the business through customer engagement, documentation management, travel and event coordination, financial administration and general business support. While also acting as a professional first point of contact for visitors and stakeholders, the primary focus of the role is ensuring efficient business operations and delivering a high level of support to both customers and internal teams.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Take full ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes, with proactive follow-through.

  • Support financial administration tasks such as raising quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.

  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial and Compliance teams, contributing to the smooth operation of daily business activities.

  • Liaise with Head Office in Austria, ensuring effective communication and coordination across locations.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including bookings, itineraries, and associated logistics.

  • Prepare management reports, presentations, and other business documentation as required.

  • Provide project support, including coordination, tracking progress, and managing communications.

  • Assist with the packing, dispatch, and tracking of goods and materials.

  • Maintain stock control and inventory management to ensure adequate supply levels.

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of internal and external events.

  • Support the preparation of training materials and coordinate catering for meetings and training sessions.

  • Perform general administrative and ad-hoc duties as required to support the wider team.

  • Provide reception support including meeting and greeting guests, handling incoming calls, coordinating meeting room bookings, and maintaining a tidy and organised reception area.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Experience in a similar role or dealing with customers is desirable 

  • Working knowledge of accounting systems such as XERO and ERP systems would be beneficial, but not essential.

  • Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Highly organised with excellent multitasking and time management capabilities.

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
