Who will you be working with?

As the Product Owner you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, data scientists, rail domain experts, and system architects responsible for designing and delivering advanced rail traffic management and dispatching solutions. You will lead the product strategy and execution for a relevant portfolio focused on real-time train movement planning and network optimization, working in close partnership with customers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure our solutions continuously evolve to meet the complex and dynamic needs of railway operations.

How will you make a difference?

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization of advanced dispatching and rail traffic optimization solutions. You will leverage your deep understanding of railway operations and market trends to translate complex operational challenges into scalable digital solutions that enhance network performance, safety, and efficiency. Modern rail movement planning systems rely on real-time data, optimization algorithms, and automated decision-making to improve network velocity, reduce delays, and maximize infrastructure capacity; you will be at the forefront of shaping these capabilities into customer value.

You will engage directly with customers and stakeholders to capture needs, validate solutions, and ensure strong product-market fit, while working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-impact features. By consolidating technical inputs, operational constraints, and business objectives, you will enable data-driven product decisions and ensure the continuous evolution of the product lifecycle. Your leadership will be critical in bridging strategy and execution in a highly complex, safety-critical environment, driving innovation in how rail networks are planned, optimized, and operated in real time.

  • Experience working directly with railway operators or logistics companies.
  • MBA or postgraduate degree in Business, Strategy, or related fields.
  • Experience in global product environments or multi-region deployments.
  • Advanced Spanish.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Define and continuously refine the product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization for rail traffic management and movement planning solutions, balancing customer needs, operational impact, and business objectives.
  • Engage directly with railway customers and end users (e.g., dispatchers, operations managers) to understand real-world challenges, validate use cases, and ensure strong product market fit.
  • Translate complex rail operational requirements including dispatching rules, network constraints, and optimization goals into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering, data science, and system architecture teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions for real-time train planning and network optimization.
