How will you make a difference?

The Southeast USA Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a customer-facing professional responsible for winning contracts within a defined geographic territory. The RSM serves as a trusted advisor to customers in the power generation market by combining technical expertise, strategic account management, strong customer relationships, and disciplined sales execution to drive sustainable growth and deliver measurable customer value. Critically, the RSM is also responsible for managing a network of third-party sales agents in the territory who represent Unifin products.

What do we want to know about you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • ​Bachelor’s Degree; preferably a degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering (Candidates with high mechanical aptitude along with substantial experience and formal post graduate training in disciplines related to the technology and target customer bases (power generation industry) will be considered).

  • 6 to 9 years of experience in technical sales, application support or engineering in the power generation industry.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • This role requires travel within a defined geographic territory in United States (approximately 50%).

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide weekly updated sales forecasts and detailed travel itineraries to the Sales Manager.

  • Submit weekly expense and call reports documenting customer interactions, meeting outcomes, required actions, and opportunity status.

  • Submit monthly territory reports detailing sales activities, market developments, competitive intelligence, and key opportunities.

  • Participate in monthly sales meetings and teleconferences and report on sales efforts and new business developments.

  • Attend trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as directed.

  • Maintain regular communication with Marketing and Sales Director.

  • Interface effectively with Application Engineering and manufacturing to develop customer solutions, support sales efforts and resolve customer concerns.

  • Deliver on commitments and ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness to customer needs.

  • Provide exceptional customer support before, during, and after the sales process.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of generator and transformer cooling applications in customer operating environments.

  • Understand customer processes and operational challenges within the power generation industry.

  • Professionally present technical solutions and product value to various levels of customer management and field operations.

  • Identify customer challenges and operational needs through consultative sales practices.

  • Develop and present value-driven solutions that improve customer performance, reliability, productivity, and operating costs.

  • Follow up on all quotations provided by application engineering support teams and communicate current opportunity status.

  • Perform work safely and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Maintain compliance with all company travel, reporting, and business conduct requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The salary rate for this role is currently $91100-129800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
