Who will you be working with? L&M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor or MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction and heavy industrial industries.

The role will be reporting to the Overhaul Supervisor.

Where is the position located? Welshpool, Perth

What will your typical day look like?

A Spray Painter is responsible for the painting of new and serviced radiator frames and parts in accordance with technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Effective surface preparation of radiators and parts: Cleaning, sanding, grinding to ensure a smooth and paint-ready surface.

• Must select and mix the paint to the correct viscosity ensuring colours match the required specifications.

• Even applications of primers and top coats whilst avoiding techniques that cause runs, drips or over-spray.

• Regular cleaning of painting equipment and workstations. Ensure the correct handling of chemicals, paints and solvents according to safety data sheets.

• Follow all work instructions to a high standard utilising the correct PPE and tools in accordance with work instructions.

• Strict adherence to all safety instructions such as pre-start checks, hazard and incident reporting procedures.

• Must be able to recognise quality deviations & faults once trained. Must act on non-conformance instructions and request assistance if further clarification is required.
