Job Description

What you'll do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll perform maintenance in support of our manufacturing facility on a variety of equipment throughout the facility including machinery repairs, preventative maintenance, machine relocation, fabrication, welding, electrical repair and installation, plumbing (air, hydraulic, water) while using a variety of tools and equipment.  You'll be responsible for monitoring hazardous waste for removal, maintenance of chemical storage area and clean up of chemical spills as required.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support in all areas of manufacturing facility including but not limited to machinery repairs, preventative maintenance, machine relocation, fabrication, welding, electrical repair and installation, plumbing (air, hydraulic, water) while using a variety of equipment such as hand tools, welding equipment, fork lifts, and precision measuring equipment. 
  • Maintain and develop preventative maintenance program for production related equipment. 
  • Perform work in compliance to all safety and EHS policies and procedures. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies
  • Knowledge and safe use of production related equipment
  • Working knowledge and use of welding, electrical, and plumbing equipment including repair and maintenance of machinery
  • Understand how to read building plans and electrical schematics
  • Ability to use trouble-shooting and precision measuring equipment
  • Where applicable, trained in maintenance processes such as but not limited to welding, plumbing, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Vocational or technical training in a maintenance related discipline, strongly preferred

 

Training requirements:

  • On the job training for up to 3 months
  • Demonstrated ability to comply to maintenance safety procedures such as lock-out tags, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely complete job tasks utilizing manual equipment as well as use of gauges needed for repair fabrication
  • Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance, and repair of facilities equipment
  • Where applicable, complete safety and maintenance training and or certification

 

Base pay for the role is $28.50/hr. The job is full time on our First Shift, and works Mon to Fri from 5:30am to 2pm. This position is paid weekly.
