How will you make a difference?

The Manufacturing Laborer supports the production of custom, engineered-to-order combustion systems by performing hands-on refractory forming, assembly, finishing, and shipping activities. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to engineering specifications, and a commitment to safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

What do we want to know about you?

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified apprenticeship applicable to the requested work.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial labor
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift and perform repetitive tasks

What will your typical day look like?

  • Refractory Work
    • Mix and prepare refractory materials per specifications and safety guidelines
    • Set up molds and pour material to ensure proper distribution and structural integrity
    • Monitor curing and ensure proper handling to maintain product integrity
    • Inspect for defects
    • Clean and maintain molds and related equipment
  • Assembly
    • Assemble combustion system components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
    • Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts
    • Verify dimensions and tolerances meet required specifications
  • Finishing & Painting
    • Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking as required)
    • Apply coatings and paint per engineering and customer specifications
    • Ensure proper curing and finish quality standards are met
  • Shipping & Packaging          
    • Prepare finished products for shipment, including weighing, crating, labeling, and documentation
    • Verify order completeness and prepare required documentation
    • Build crates to shipping specifications
    • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed
    • Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Quality & Safety
    • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
    • Perform in process and final quality checks
    • Report quality defects, safety concerns, and equipment issues
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work Environment

  • Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, dust, and noise
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
