Job Description

Key missions of the position:  

  • The Retrofit Program Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing retrofit programs across the installed customer base.

  • Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Sales, Field Service, Warranty, and Customers to ensure successful launch & completion of retro fitment. 

  • Coordinate with Regional Service & Warranty leaders to ensure timely completion of retrofit activities.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Retro fitment Program Strategy & Development

  • Develop, implement, and manage retrofit programs for the installed base across all product lines. 

  • Define program scope, deployment strategy, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. 

  • Prepare business cases and white papers for management approval, including retrofit budgets and implementation plans. 

  • Responsible to maintain complete database of the existing Population of all our product lines. 

 

2. Program Execution: 

  • Lead end-to-end execution of retrofit programs from concept through deployment. 

  • Review FMI Document and work with Safety team for HIRA assessment prior to implementation. 

  • Collaborate with Field Service teams to develop deployment plans and ensure successful retrofit execution at customer sites. 

  • Develop deployment methodologies, technical documentation, training materials, and service procedures. 

  • Work with Engg. /PED/Sourcing team for special tool development/procurement related to retro fitment programs 

 

3. Retrofit Material Order Planning & Execution: 

  • Plan initial Float Stock requirements & Load Forecast order in the system for new retro fitment launch  

  • Periodically Review & update the forecast order in system based on the actual orders. 

  • Receive & Process retro fitment order request from FSE’s and ensure demand creation in ERP. 

  • Coordinate with SCM and Operations teams to ensure on-time material availability and order fulfilment. 

  • Responsible to have full control on customer return material (MCO orders). 

 

4. Customer Engagement: 

  • Act as the primary contact for strategic customers regarding retrofit initiatives. 

  • Publish Weekly/Monthly Retrofit completion Dashboards to Internal Management & Customers (RDSO & Private Car builders) 

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout program execution. 

 

5. Safety, Quality, and Compliance: 

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with our organization’s strict safety, quality, and compliance standards. 

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all field deployment activities comply with applicable EHS requirements. 

 

Key KPIs: 

  • Retrofit HIRA Compliance (%): HIRA completed before deployment (Target – 100%) 

  • Retrofit Completion Rate %:  Commitment - As per Program Plan & Target - >95% 

  • Dashboard Reporting Compliance:  Commitment – 95% & Target – 100%  

 

Education/Training 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

 

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience.  

 

Languages 

  • English & Hindi & Tamil
