Mission
Key missions of the position:
- Lead and drive process engineering activities for Electronics manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ensure robust process design, validation, and industrialization for electronic systems including wiring, PCB integration, and testing.
- Deliver improvements in Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) through process optimization and innovation.
- Establish strong capability in electronic manufacturing processes, testing systems, and validation frameworks.
Measurement
Q (Quality):
- First-time-right (FPY) in electronic assembly and testing
- Defect reduction (wiring errors, PCB issues, soldering defects, etc.)
- Compliance with process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, test validation)
C (Cost):
- Cost reduction through process efficiency and rework reduction
- Optimization of testing and inspection costs
- CAPEX efficiency (ROI for testing and automation systems)
D (Delivery):
- On-time industrialization of electronic products (NPI milestones)
- Process readiness for production ramps
Additional KPIs:
- Testing efficiency and throughput
- Reduction in rework and failure rates
- ERP (M3) data accuracy and routing discipline
- Continuous improvement implementation
Electronics Process Leadership
- Lead process engineering for:
Wiring harness assembly
PCB assembly / integration
Electrical panel assembly
Testing and validation systems
- Establish standardized and optimized electronics manufacturing processes.
Process Design & Industrialization
- Drive development of:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- PFMEA and Control Plans
- Work Instructions (WI)
- Test procedures and validation protocols
- Ensure smooth industrialization of electronic products (NPI).
- Validate process capability before production release.
Testing & Validation Systems (Critical Area)
- Define and implement:
- Functional testing systems
- Electrical testing procedures
- End-of-line testing processes
- Ensure:
- Testing accuracy
- Traceability
- Compliance with customer and quality standards
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Improve:
- Assembly efficiency
- Testing throughput
- Failure reduction
- Drive Lean and IE initiatives for:
- Workflow optimization
- Ergonomics
- Cycle time reduction
Capacity Planning & Production Support
- Conduct capacity and capability analysis for electronics lines.
- Support SIOP / STRAP inputs for planning.
- Ensure readiness of:
- Workstations
- Testing equipment
- Skilled manpower
CAPEX & Automation Projects
- Identify and implement automation and testing equipment investments.
- Ensure projects are:
Delivered on time
Within budget
Functionally validated
- Justify investments through ROI-based evaluation.
ERP / M3 & System Governance
- Ensure accuracy of:
- MBOM
- Routing
- Work centers
- Drive improvements in:
- Data integrity
- Inventory accuracy
- Reduce process/system mismatches affecting production.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work with:
- Design / Engineering teams
- Production

- Sourcing
- Ensure proper alignment between:
- Product design

Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead team of:

Required Candidate Profile
Education/Training
- Bachelor / Master of Engineering – Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
Professional Experience
- 12+ years in Process Engineering / Electronics Manufacturing
- Strong experience in:
Wiring / harness assembly
PCB / electrical systems
Testing and validation processes
- Experience in managing process engineering teams
