Who will you be working with?
Shuttlewagon, a Wabtec Company, is looking for a Fulfillment Specialist that will meet the requirements for the production demand by maintaining needed inventory. This role works with production leaders, engineers, aftersales and stakeholders vested in meeting customer demand.
How will you make a difference?
The Fulfillment Specialist will develop inventory plans, procure the materials, parts, and components at the most cost-effective pricing while meeting delivery expectations. The position is responsible for the balance between inventory turns and service level of designated inventory items.
What will your typical day look like?
- Analyze daily requirements to determine materials needs and execute purchase orders to satisfy demand schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery information on open purchase orders through supplier acknowledgements
- Expedite material delivery where necessary for production and service
- Continually review stocking levels for each item to provide targeted service levels
- Communicate with suppliers to best support the inventory plan and provide timely delivery for production needs
- Regularly update backlog status reports and communicate with customer service expected delivery for customer orders
- Review and recommend disposition of all excess and obsolete inventory
- Perform root cause analysis of service outliers to identify and implement improvements in overall process
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
- 5 years Buyer/Planner experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with MRP material related system
- Familiarity with Nordco equipment a plus
- Proficient in the use of computer applications Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Ability to read blueprints, good mathematical aptitude and knowledge of quality assurance philosophies, practices and techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact and clearly communicate with other functional areas of the organization, management and suppliers
- Understanding of LEAN techniques including material pull systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective presentation of information and ability to respond to questions from managers, employees and customers
- Ability to be a self-starter and professionally react to different situations
What about the physical demands of the job?
- Employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products
- You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $62100-85300. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
