Job Description

This position is for work in a on-site format, in Contagem - Minas Gerais, Juiz de Fora - Minas Gerais or São Paulo - SP.
 

Who will you be working with?

The Commercial Operations Latam team is directly and indirectly responsible for leading and managing the entire ITO (Inquiry to Order) process for our deals in our Digital Intelligence Operating Unit, working with the principal technical and operational company stakeholders.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Commercial Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the entire ITO (Inquiry to Order) process for our deals in our Digital Intelligence Group. You will also be responsible for overall commercial project coordination, risk and mitigation, price strategy and cost consolidation, and associated reviews during the deal process, working closely with the principal technical and operational company stakeholders, including, but not limited to, interfacing with Signaling, OCC, Telecom, System Integration, and other segments.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience in a similar role, with experience in managing complex proposals and projects, especially in the train control and railroad signaling area. Other similar experiences will also be considered like, turnkey, civil works and other construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, good communicator and business acumen.
  • Experience in developing and implementing winning commercial strategies and proposals and or project execution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of legal and financial requirements for contracts.
  • Strong planning, strategizing, managing, monitoring, scheduling, and critiquing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline oriented, changing environment, and a proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Price Formulation and Financial Analysis experience (detailed pricing, financial analyses, including cash flow projections).
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • A proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling, marketing-oriented proposal narrative and oral presentation slides from scratch as required.
  • Skills to research, compose, review, illustrate, and edit technical documents, materials, and reports will be a plus. Communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
  • Fluent English.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Leading and Managing the ITO Process:
    • Oversee the entire Inquiry to Order process
    • Ensure the team delivers high-quality proposals on time and within budget
    • Ensure proposals comply with company standards and guidelines
  • Commercial Project Coordination:
    • Coordinate all commercial aspects of projects
    • Manage client requirements, procurement, budgets, contracts, schedules, and project plans
    • Ensure commercial activities align with project goals and objectives
  • Risk and Mitigation:
    • Identify and assess project risks
    • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Competitive Commercial Proposals:
    • Provide competitive commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and business goals
    • Lead the negotiation of terms and conditions, margins, pricing, and other aspects to close complex deals
  • Collaboration with Sales and Account Managers:
    • Work closely with Sales Directors and Account Managers
    • Ensure customer needs are met, and commercial aspects align with company goals
  • Contract Management:
    • Ensure all contracts are executed in accordance with company policies and guidelines
    • Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to ensure contract compliance
  • Lead the proposals for new expanded area scope:
    • TP&A – Teleops and Z2Z for BRZ
    • NO – Optmove for LATAM
    • LA – Kinetix for BRZ Consting Localization
    • S&S - Signaling & Systems
  • Lead the Commercial Finance scope:
    • Lead & coordinate the Pricing, Financial models & Tax planning, to develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies
