Summary:

Reporting to Director AI & Data Architecture, the Manager Advanced Analytics & AI role is to plan, coordinate, and manage activities related to Advanced Analytics product development, AI Solutions and Data Science end to end deliveries. This manager is responsible for driving activities including development, delivery plan, driving development in Agile manner, coordinating with business product owners and career growth for our Scrum teams/TPM and coordinating the requirement gathering with our Technical Product Managers.

He/She will partner with other D&A and IT teams, implementing the Data governance framework and new operating model in order to make sure we apply the right processes.

He/She will be responsible for delivering what has been identified in the Data & Analytics 3-year strategy and propose enhancement / solutions when needed.

Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytics & AI Strategy and Blueprint creation, update and implementation
  • Support of Business for Data Owner/Steward identification
  • Lead cross-functional teams and provide business / functional perspective to data science projects, and support problem scoping and structuring.
  • Lead program management, including operationalization of analytic methods and products in functional settings, and drive agile development of new methods and capabilities.
  • Ensure development of value case for each project in partnership with business stakeholders clearly specifying hard and soft benefits.
  • Monitor, track and report out the business value / benefits delivered for all the data projects in terms of revenue or profitability uplift, cost savings or working capital optimized for hard benefits and productivity gains for soft benefits.
  • Ensure customer adoption & drive consumption of analytics and maximize usage and use of analytics with customers. Maintain strong partnership with business leaders, stakeholders, users and partners to integrate programs into overall strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to budget preparation for the reporting team and drive budget adherence.
  • Conduct project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution, user acceptance, operationalization for all project work related to the data science program(s).
  • Partner with shared technical and business resources (GRC, IT teams, Engineering, Product Management, Software CoE etc.) to effectively deliver and support solutions. Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization.
  • Partner with Data teams, other IT teams and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement the right Adv Analytics solution.
  • Partnering with Data governance leader to make sure our Data governance Framework is implemented effectively (Cyber security, SOP, Data quality, Data ownership/Stewardship, communication, …)
  • Supports Organization to hold its employees accountable.
  • Enforce transparency with internal and external stakeholders: communication.
  • This role requires strong leaders and effective management skillset, supporting the team to grow and develop new skills and career growth.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the work of staff members, including conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Participate in hiring and recruitment efforts, including interviews for employees.
  • Ensuring staff compliance with Data governance processes and company policies

 

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Overall 14+ Years of Professional experience in Information Technology including 8+ years direct experience in data management and/or data Analytics role.
  • Strong project management skillset
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 14 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Big Data, Data Science or Information Technology
  • Passionate about driving changes and influence across enterprises.
  • Capabilities to identify and Apply IT process standardization, to improve robustness and simplify the product maintenance.
  • Willing to understand, asking questions, deep dive answers.
  • Global exposure driving benefits across multiple regions and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive operationalization of analytic products and help teams to transform processes through analytics.
  • Strong ability to communicate deep analytical results in forms that resonate with the business collaborators, highlighting actionable insights.
  • Entrepreneurial inclination to discover novel opportunities for applying analytical techniques to business/scientific problems across the company.
  • Ability to acquire any specialized domain knowledge required to be more effective in all required activities.
