Role Purpose
Lead strategic sourcing for Diversified Products to drive cost competitiveness, supply base resilience, and working capital improvement, while building a strong, globally leveraged supplier ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with AOP and STRAP objectives
- Deliver year-over-year cost productivity (deflation) through localization, contract management and SCRI initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally for Right First Time and On-Time execution of deflation projects.
- Drive Supplier Capacity Management.
- Leverage India supply base for global sourcing
- Drive Localization and import substitution initiatives
- Establish and manage long-term supplier agreements
- Lead Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks
- Support India Freight Services sourcing strategy
Scope & Impact
Manage spend of ~USD 40M across 300+ suppliers and 6500+ parts
Lead team of 3–4 sourcing professionals
Influence global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Cost Productivity (YoY Net deflation %)
- CFOA Improvement
- Incremental Spend and Deflation from Global Sourcing Projects.
- Supplier on-time delivery and quality performance
- Drive Localization and import reduction
- Improvement in Spend-Under Contract.
- Supplier Risk Management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production engineering.
MBA (Supply Chain) / EMBA – preferred
CPSM or equivalent certification – preferred
15–17 years of experience in strategic sourcing
Global sourcing and supplier development experience
Willingness to travel up to 25%
