Job Description

Who will you be working with?

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will work with a diverse team, including forklift operators, receiving technicians and material controllers. You will collaborate with managers and colleagues in Operations, Purchasing, Master Scheduling and Quality to ensure efficient operations. You will also frequently liaise with Human Resources for staffing and hiring decisions, conflict resolution, and policy adherence.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehousing activities. The successful candidate will coordinate receiving, warehousing, lineside materials and inventory cycle counts while leading a diverse team to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance floor-level supervision with administrative reporting to ensure seamless customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Supervisor position has direct influence on business service levels, cost control, and operational reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

  • Associate Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred

  • Valid forklift operator's license and/or "Train-the-Trainer" certification preferred

  • Knowledge or experience with SAP or Oracle preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:        

  • A hands-on, results-driven leader who takes ownership and drives accountability at all levels

  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to act quickly and effectively in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence with respect to material flow

  • Ability to manage, train, and schedule warehouse staff, as well as conduct performance evaluations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence, motivate, coach, and drive accountability to deliver results through others

  • Strong conflict-resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication (attention to detail)

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple daily priorities and trouble shoot issues

  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory management

  • Understands the importance of the receiving function and its impact on inventory accuracy (verifying shipments against purchase orders and updating inventory records in the ERP)

  • Operational experience related to organizing and optimizing warehouse space and ensuring proper inventory placement.

  • Familiar with health and safety protocols and 5S lean principles

What will your typical day look like?

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, picking and lineside health ensuring consistent achievement of throughput, service, and quality targets

  • Lead and develop hourly warehouse teams with a clear focus on safety, accountability, and results

  • Hire, train, and mentor warehouse staff. Conduct performance evaluations, set shift schedules, and manage labor hours

  • Proactively assess staffing, workflows, and performance gaps, taking decisive action to improve outcomes

  • Build capability across the team through coaching, training, and clear performance expectations

  • Maintain a strong, solutions-oriented presence on the floor

  • Ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation of system variances

  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure facility.

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maximize efficiency and space utilization.

  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Purchasing to streamline receipts and resolve receiving/invoice issues.

  • Analyze reports on productivity and key performance indicators for senior management.

The salary rate for this role is currently $62100-85300 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
